Reading Swallowing Grandma by Kate Long.
Page 53:
“As I walked up to the entrance I caught sight of Mr Poole sitting half-hidden in a winged chair behind a weeping fig. He had a tea towel over his lap and his hand beneath it was jerking up and down, up and down. Christ, I thought. Even in here it’s full of pervs.
I veered slightly so that I would pass near him, and hissed, “You’re disgusting”, at the top of his head. He looked up, surprised. His face seemed odd and naked. As I glared at him the cloth fell away across his knee and I could see that he was holding a pair of glasses in his lap. His flies, I noted, were completely closed.
“Just a sec”, he said, sliding the glasses onto his nose.
“That’s better. Couldn’t see a blessed thing before.” He peered up at me. “Now, what’s tha sayin’?”
“It needs dusting. This place.”
Humorous.

This was not what I wanted to see this morning. Hello Winter coat!

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

I bought a new coat. It’s navy blue and sweet and has big buttons and it’s A-lined. It’s still too cold for it really, but I’m beginning to really dislike my winter jacket.. and the winter. So I’m gonna wear it. And freeze. That’s normal behavior anyways. My friends were chocked I actually owned a winter coat. I used to walk around in my red summer jacket all year ’round.
And a side story from that, the very same summer jacket was a very bad choice New Years of 2001 when I apparently dropped my key to my flat on my way to Linda (I fell down on the icy road, that’s more luck to you) and couldn’t get into the house when I got home in the middle of the night. I had thin black pants and my red summer jacket, probably a pair of converse shoes too. I walked back to her house and couldn’t get in there either as their door was locked. My cellphone was out of battery. They lived 5 apartments up so throwing rocks on their window was out, I considered it. I then tried to phone her at a gas station, but as the phone was dead I didn’t know their number. Haha. I can’t remember how I finally reached her but I did and I called some security people to come open my door and Linda’s bf dressed me up in some ridiculous army stuff he had so I wouldn’t freeze to death on my way back. Then I had to wait outside my door for 45 minutes before the idiot came and opened up for me. Greatest New Years ever.
Oh well, can’t hang around here.. must work on my portfolio.

Google Game: Go to Google and type in quotation marks, your name and then “likes to” (ex. “Steve likes to”). Type in the first ten things that come up and re-post in your own note.
1. Jenny likes to rape cats.
(What kind of a sick bastar…. I mean.. who doesn’t?)
2. Jenny Likes to Talk About Herself in the Third Person.
(well.. I bet Jenny does.)
3. Jenny likes to know how thinks work.
(How THINKS work, yeah.. she should know how thinks are spelled too.)
4. Jenny likes to fly.
(No, I don’t.)
5. Jenny likes to pick scabs.
(Well that’s nice.)
6. Jenny likes to play with the kitchen and the dress up box which is a particular favourite of hers.
(I’m not gonna believe anything I read on google anymore.)
7. Jenny likes to run.
(Depends on were I’m running..)
8. Jenny likes to sing, dance, swim, bike and rollerblade.
(Singing seems something I can’t help doing, but obviously I don’t dance.)
9. Jenny likes to jump.
(Of course.)
10. Jenny likes to visit her friend Mary Lane.
(Is she an imaginary friend I haven’t meet yet?)

I just took a short walk around my work buildning before lunch. I was in some highly important thoughts (like always) listening to music when someone stepped out infront of me..
Student: “Can I ask you some question? I’m from the University radio.”
Me: “Erm..”
Student: “It’s about the Oscars.”
Me: “Oh.. but I don’t know anything about it..”
Student: “I have a list.. you don’t have to know anything.. just pick something from the list here..”
Me: *reading* “…but.. I haven’t even seen any of these movies.”
Student: “I don’t care.. just pick one.. like.. you know who Brad Pitt is..”
She starts testing her microphone.
I’m reading the list and stating that I really haven’t seen any of the movies. And I don’t really care that much about any of the actors on that list. And why can’t I ever say no? I don’t want to be on the radio.
Student: “So who do you think will win as the male lead?”
Me: *damnit* “…Sean Penn.” (Wth do I know.. but Brad Pitt will probably get it..)
Student: “Why?”
Me: *dumb struck* Did she just not tell me to just pick a name when I said I had not seen any of these movies? *taking one step away from her* “..But I have no idea?!” Giving her a look of ‘What the hell are you doing?’
Student: “….okay.. so for the ladies then?”
Me: “…..Kate Winslet..” *don’t you ask me why*
Student: “Right. And as the best movie? What do you think?”
Me: “…that’ll probably be Benjamin Button..”
Student: “…thank you!”
*idiot*
Thinking about it.. I should have said names that wasn’t even on the list.
“Best movie?”
“Twilight.”
Don’t put that on the radio please.

I got recommended by a friend to see The bad mother’s handbook today. So I just did. English. And different.
I can’t get over how perfect Rob Pattinsons body language is. This Daniel character was funny.
I’ll probably watch it again soon.

..and every road becomes a thrill
……
Every turn we take
And every decision that we don’t make
Even the decisions we don’t make
Will bring us into the secrets of the town
Every corner we turn will lead us
Every corner we turn will lead us down the labryinth
And every desire that we earn
Will guide us, alive, living, loving and searching
And searching

I just bought boxes for my clothes that are done, and for clothes I’m working on. Now it’s all so neat! I also got a box for all my tiny things, like buttons and snaps. Order is needed with all these 4mm and 5mm buttons and what not I have lying around.
That’s Noor on the shelf as well, in a new dress.
